An immersive, online experience for both Students and Educational institutions.
Sponsored by Jaguar Cars, the Maths Challenge has been delivering educational programs to help raise standards of achievement in mathematics across an age range of 9 to 16 year olds, accredited from the National Centre for Excellence, National Numeracy, STEM Directories and Crest Awards.
The existing website lacked an overarching hierarchical structure, resulting in users often requiring guidance around the site. Our digital strategy for the project was to increase the usability of the website, in particular, the accessibility of each page, whist improving the sitemap structure by examining more user-centric course groupings.
To portray the Challenge in the correct light, the content and designs were developed with the brand’s existing positioning in mind. To improve usability, the website now consists of one hierarchical structure, enabling users to navigate around the site in an intuitive, user friendly manner. Each page has been designed to have clear elements of contextualisation, with the broader framework of the website featuring related ‘nuggets’ of information and visual elements in each call-out.
Built on our in-house CMS, the site was built on top of a number of bespoke templates, allowing content to be deployed quickly and presented in a unique and stylish way.
The engaging, new website has increased the overall awareness of The Challenge’s core offerings, whilst providing a more intuitive user journey for customers.
By developing a new website sympathetic with the existing branding, we have been able to create a website that continues to see improved statistics and ROI, week on week, driving increased traffic, and optimising performance and conversion for schools to ‘take part in the Challenge’.
